As DevOps Engineer for the Autodesk Data Platform, you will be in charge of keeping the platform secure, stable, responsive and performant.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools and automation to make platform operations more efficient, reliable and reproducible
- Build monitoring, supervision and resiliency mechanisms to observe, react to, and maintain platform health and performance
- Manage, review and strengthen physical and logical security of the platforms systems, data and access points
- Perform deployments, upgrades, configurations in a controlled, live production environment with tight operating perimeters
- Develop and support processes to maintain uptime, SLAs and availability of critical platform components
Minimum Qualifications
- Expert proficiency (at least 10 years of hands-on experience) in monitoring, reliability and security of linux-based, online, high-traffic services
- Expert proficiency (8 years of experience) with operations and devops on the AWS technology stack (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda, CentOS)
- Extensive practice (5 years of experience) in managing the lifecycle of complex, distributed applications (validation and verification processes, change management, CI/CD, functional, synthetic and security testing)
- Extensive practice (5 years of experience) operating on service oriented architectures
- Extensive proficiency (5 years of experience) in Infrastructure-as-Code (Cloudformation/Terraform)
Preferred Qualifications
- To succeed in this role, you should have extensive practice of full stack DevOps in an AWS-based SOA environment
- Hands-on experience of micro-services and container environments is desirable
- Knowledge of java-specific build processes, security management and configuration is a strong plus
- Prior experience or a strong interest with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, Cassandra, Spark) will help you be effective on the platform and interact efficiently with application developers
- Clarity of communication, pro-activeness and rigor will be key elements to work with a decentralized, global team
