As a Azure Infra Consultant, your focus is on defining and/or delivering modern infrastructure architectures for public and hybrid cloud solutions based on the Microsoft Azure cloud and the broader Microsoft technology stack. This includes planning and design of the desired relationships and operating models across our client’s software, hardware, networks, people and operations, to effectively operate in a Cloud oriented environment.
Additionally, you apply your expertise in technical and consulting knowledge to advise clients on proper governance to ensure stability, and to enable them to evolve their environments to support changing business requirements.
Day To Day, You Will
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Contribute to all phases of Avanade projects (Plan, Analyze, Design, Build and Test)
- Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to integrate technology, operations and solution requirements into solution strategies
- Develop and modify infrastructure solutions within designated computing environments, relying on specialized infrastructure / networking knowledge
- Create project deliverable documentation, including design, build, and operations guides
- Work and interact directly with clients to transform information technology landscapes to new technology environments
- Define and establish information technology operations, processes, procedures and toolsets to manage and maintain requirements specified for a solution.
- Conduct systems integration testing (SIT), component integration testing (CIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Support creation and execution of change management efforts that accompany solutions
- Occasionally manage project components and/or a limited junior-level resources as needed

- Excellent working experience with Infrastructure as a code (Terraform) is essential. Terraform certification is highly desired.

- Solid written and spoken English skills

Preferred Education Background
You will likely possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Information Technology, or similar degree; equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for degree.

You will likely have 4+ years of relevant systems engineering and/or infrastructure experience
