Job Description

The Product Software and Platform Software team at Equinix builds next-generation software products and architecture for our Equinix software platform and services offerings. We are looking for an experienced technology leader to lead our next gen customer facing digital experience platform engineering team. Located at our Singapore the successful candidate will be building a world class globally distributed engineering team of high skilled engineers in Singapore and Sunnyvale, USA, and driving a culture of innovation, excellence & collaboration across various engineering disciplines.


  • Lead highly skilled software and quality engineers distributed between Sunnyvale, USA and Singapore working on latest technologies
  • Work with globally distributed product & platform engineering teams, architects, product management, user experience team
  • Responsible for executing product and engineering roadmap on time and with highest quality
  • Build and run a very high available digital experience product with well-defined OKRs and SLOs
  • Will be responsible for providing technology leadership and continue to innovate with best of technologies, methodologies to the team. Build and foster true DevOps culture
  • Ready to be hands on technologist and lead and participate in technology deep dive sessions
  • Lead initiative to explore, evangelize, and implement innovative technologies to improve customer experience
  • Responsible for all engineers working in Product organization and work towards building a diverse, cohesive, and high performing team
  • As a senior leader in Singapore drive campus relationships, new to career program, diversity programs etc., working with various groups within Equinix and represent Product organization in APAC leadership team
  • Be an energy supplier and personify Magic of Equinix

Qualification - Engineering
  • Minimally 10+ years proven experience in software management leading large global software team with at least 7+ years professional experience in a software development leadership role.
  • Strong technology background with experience in working with globally distributed Agile DevOps teams
  • Experience in building and running API first, Microservices based distributed applications
  • Good understanding of frontend, backend, and database technologies – Java, NodeJS, ReactJS, Python, NoSQL DBs, Postgres DB and Oracle DBs with strong working experience one of more of these technologies
  • Experience with API gateways, ELK stack, Kafka, distributed cache, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Git and Kubernetes is preferred
  • Strong background build and run internet scale cloud-based production systems with at least one of the top public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) or in a Hybrid cloud architecture with well-defined SLOs
  • Proven track record in delivering from architecture envisioning to solution implementation
  • Experience in running large distributed applications in production with focus towards availability, MTTR with experience in participating and driving blameless postmortem for production issues
  • Excellent communicator with ability work collaboratively and influence decisions across business stakeholders, IT, senior management, and other engineering teams
