Job Description

Payments is an innovative team focused on delivering globally applicable solutions for secure, timely and streamlined payments processing. FIS's Payment Modules enable financial institutions to improve internal payments processing efficiencies whilst at the same time providing their clients with better payment services that are faster, with richer payments related information.

What You Will Be Doing

  • A member of the DevOps team which is responsible for design, improvement, and maintenance of a state of the art build validation pipeline~ Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Delivery. Participates in the standardisation, building and documenting of infrastructure and services for software delivery, provides support for internal Project teams.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Produces client focused installation documentation for deployment and configuration of the Payment Modules, and supports client deployment activities.
  • Participates in a team made up of members of key disciplines such as Architecture, Quality Assurance, Development, Business Analysis, and Project Management working on Java based solutions for large financial institutions supporting complex payment products. The team generally operates as a self-organising team to complete work using Scrum Agile methodology with a number of small exceptions where traditional methodologies are used.
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of technologies and processes that are appropriate for the DevOps disciplines the incumbent is assigned to improve FIS products and/or services.
  • Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Serves as a resource for less experienced peers. Wide latitude for independent judgment.

What You Bring

  • Typically requires five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience. Typically reports to the Enterprise Payments APAC DevOps or Development Manager.
  • Experience with financial software applications is an advantage.
  • Ability to conceptualize; implement automation for repetitive tasks.
  • Able to understand and focus on Clients needs and to work closely with Clients, onsite at their premises when required.
  • Ability to perform analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving.
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment where multi-discipline team members work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Act as a mentor for team members.
  • Able to deliver results under pressure and work with a high level of autonomy.
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors and public. Desire to learn and implement new technologies to meet the growing and dynamic business needs.

Technical Skills

  • Conversant in Continuous Integration theory with experience in building and deploying J2EE projects.
  • Background in Linux (CentOS, RedHat).
  • Operational experience in database products- Oracle (preferred), DB2 & PostgreSQL.
  • Skills in programming or scripting languages - Java, Python/Jython, SQL, ant, Groovy, bash/sh/ksh, etc.
  • Experience in Source Control Systems - Subversion, Git, and SCM concepts (branches, merges) in general
  • Functional experience in Software Build Scheduling daemons; BitBucket, Jenkins/Hudson, Bamboo, etc.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible/Puppet.
  • Experience with managing infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
  • Familiar with Atlassian product suite; JIRA, Confluence.
  • Good communication and documentation and ability to interact with the client and help with the release and support of deployment.
