You will be part of an application team, supporting and maintaining platforms in the order and trade management space. Our teams are motivated and passionate about understanding business requirements and improving the status quo. They are familiar with the current technology landscape and work closely with business departments to build and support modern and scalable platforms and customize and integrate solutions into GIC’s technology ecosystem. In your new role, you will have the opportunity to engage in wider initiatives to review and improve the current technology operations and support landscape. You will also identify proactive and remedial strategies to prevent future software problems and to improve the quality of delivered software.

What You Will Be Doing
You will be part of an application team that practices DevOps to enhance GIC’s mission-critical Global Equities Order Management System, and accountable for its continued operations and stability. You will be involved in initiatives that will deliver workflow automation, incremental enhancements and bug fixes. By being part of the team that works with front, mid and back offices, you will be exposed to many business functions such as portfolio management, trading, compliance and post trade.

Join us if you have/are
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in supporting front-mid-back office systems, covering a broad user base from portfolio management, trade execution, compliance and post trade.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related discipline is advantages.
  • Prior experience in Charles River, or other similar investment management systems is beneficial.
  • Domain knowledge in equities order management and trading workflows.
  • Knowledge in incident management and other ITIL disciplines (preferred).
  • Able to effectively communicate and escalate incidents and problems to managers and relevant stakeholders when required.
  • Broad understanding of IT infrastructure and server architecture.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and DevOps.
  • Hands-on technical skills and competency in these programming/scripting languages and software frameworks: MS SQL, Java, .NET, C# and Powershell.
