As Field Software and System Engineer, you are responsible for installation, calibration and commissioning activities on the Proton Therapy site, with a specific focus on administration of the IT infrastructure, software testing, debugging, configuration and upgrades.
You work in a team of approximately 9 people, and you report to the Site Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Field Software and System Engineer, you are responsible for:
During the installation phase (+/- 12 months)
- Participating in the installation of the IBA equipment and technical tools on the Proton Therapy site with a specific focus on the deployment of the software
- Performing the IT infrastructure and the software calibration following procedures
- Testing and validating the equipment according to the specifications and ensuring the customer requirements are met in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance and timing
- Critically analyzing data to diagnose potential technical problems
- Collaborating intensively during the installation and commissioning phase with subcontractors to supervise the installation until the start-up of the equipment
- Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services
Profile You Have
- A Bachelor or Master degree in engineering (preferably in Computer Sciences or Electronics) or an equivalent experience
- Programming experience, preferably with knowledge of C, C++, UNIX and Java
- A good knowledge of Linux/Windows and scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
- A basic knowledge of SQL
- An awareness of version control systems and configuration management
- Experience in network administration
- Experience in electronics, electrical or control systems troubleshooting would be an advantage
