Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Ensuring effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of network equipment
- Developing infrastructure designs, documentation and plans related to network (voice, data, information security)
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks
- Applying network system updates, patches, configuration changes
- Effectively communicating and advising management accordingly
- Hands-on configuration and administration of network devices, including Cisco switches and routers, wireless access points, and controllers. HPE / Aruba Procurve also a plus.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools
- Experience with EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP routing design, troubleshooting, and support
- Design, troubleshoot, and support layer 2 switched networks, including considerations for Ethernet and fiber-based port-channel configurations, spanning tree and failover, and VLAN trunk protocol (VTP).
- Site-to-site VPN tunnel configuration and support
- Facilitate root cause analyses of recurring problems
- Identify and manage support issues, coordinate communications between various Company operations groups and OEMs to resolve complex issues.
- Provide periodic, informal, on-site/off-site knowledge transfer to other group members and designated Company employees covering the management, normal operation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure.
- Apply patches and firmware upgrades regularly, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.
- Ability to diagnose complex network problems and advise on solutions
- Ability to work independently with an overseas team
- Ability to support many APAC regional sites, network, and security related incidents
- Have very proficient English written and verbal skills
- Occasional travel will be required
- Cisco ISE experience required
- Cisco Wireless LAN administration experience required
- Palo Alto Network Firewall administration experience required
- Respond, Analyze and Triage alerts from many different security tools including network IDS/IPS, and other security agents
- Ability to manage assigned tickets to closure
Education
- Bachelorβs Degree in Computing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience or coursework related to cybersecurity concepts and techniques
Experience
- CCNA (or ability to obtain)
- Palo Alto Network Firewall Experience (PCNSE preferred)
- 3+ years data center networking experience
- 3+ years of end-user Customer Support Experience
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelorβs Degree in Computing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
