We are looking for top talent across APAC to join our Data Analytics team as a Data Analyst (Marketing). Key Responsibilities Include:
- Be a partner to the User Acquisition team - analyze various marketing channels and campaign data to understand the impact and customer acquisition costs
- Analyze market research data (surveys) to get meaningful insights by applying methods of statistical analysis such as normalization, extrapolation, etc
- Be a partner to the CRM team - analyze marketing campaign performance with an emphasis on extracting relevant insights and informing ways to improve
- Help CRM define areas for customer segmentation, channel optimization, message frequency
- Design to execute robust tests and experimentations that come with readability in results to inform business decisions
- Be a key member of the Data Analytics team where you’ll also be exposed to other parts of the business like Product, Finance, and Content
- Ability to support stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis, data requests, and building dashboards to help drive decisions informed by data
- Work with data engineers as needed to optimise to our data pipeline
Requirements:
- Preferably BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline with 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Experienced in partnering with product/business stakeholders on complex analytical projects to deliver business results
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries
- Basic understanding of the usage and interpretation of statistical methods
- Interest in large-scale data mining, gathering insights and reporting
- Prior experience with the following languages/tools is highly preferred: For data modeling: R, Python; For data processing: Hadoop, MapReduce, Kafka, Redshift, BigQuery, Spark; For data visualization: Looker, Amplitude, Tableau, Qlikview, Holistics
- Fluent in technical aspects and able to use technical language with Data Engineers as well as business language with Marketing stakeholders
- Experience in Digital Marketing Analytics, especially Mobile Marketing Analytics (e.g. AppsFlyer), is a huge advantage
- Understanding of Subscription-Based business model & metrics is an added advantage
- Prior experience in supporting CRM teams is also a plus
- Self-motivated with a high degree of independence
- Able to accommodate a SGT 7am to 4pm work schedule for 2-3 days per week as the role requires close collaboration with Viki’s US San Mateo Office
