The Teradyne QESW Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic application oriented Software Verification Engineer who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop QA test plans and automated test solutions to assess and ensure the quality of our software features for Teradyne ATE testers.
Responsibilities
- Review software feature requirements and create QA test plans to have full test coverage on the new software features
- Create, execute and automate the test codes in compliance with the approved test plans and report defects to software developers
- Investigate test logs collected in software release cycles and pinpoint the failure modes for the next round of corrective actions on produce/test codes
- Enhance the existing quality screen methods by reviewing the root causes of escape defects and adding the missing test coverage if it is applicable
- Develop test cases on the cutting-edge digital, analog and RF hardware with in-house tools for online data collection
- Manage the defects submitted from the ongoing projects and release qualification cycles and work with software developers to ensure that all the defects are fixed and the resolution are fully verified before software release to customer
- Interact with Field Applications team to better understand new feature requests and customer feedback in order to achieve zero defect escape
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Candidates must have a Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- Experience in IC component testing preferred
- 2-3 years test/product engineering experiences in IC component testing and test development preferred
- Experience with ATE equipment such as Teradyne, 93K Advantest, Eagle or other test equipment is highly desired
- Require good programming skill in Excel VBA and candidates with VB.NET/C# experience will be considered first
- Experience in Agile or Waterfall Software Development Life Cycles preferred
- High quality individuals who are self-learners and team players with strong technical and analytical ability and good communication skill
